Mindfulness and Meditation Classes

The meditation and mindfulness classes I offer are based on my own practice of over 25 years, incorporating elements of the various healing arts and traditions which I studied, explored and shared whilst living and working in Asia for 16 years [read more about my travels and studies here].

An Intuitive and A Rational Approach Combined

The basis of my mindfulness and meditation is grounded in the practices and philosophies of Reiki & Energy Healing, Daoism, Classical Chinese Medicine, Buddhism, Astrology, and various elements of the energetic anatomy of the body and soul. It also brings in elements of current scientific studies in biology and physics to help bridge the understanding between our intuitive self and our rational self; to connect both heart and mind for a deeper understanding of how we can cultivate a meaningful practice which can be integrated into each and every moment of our lives.

The classes are small, with opportunities to discuss different ideas and concepts which can help deepen your practice and give it meaning in every aspect of what you do.

Personal Energy Awareness for Personal Healing

In some classes, we will be focusing more on personal energy awareness, learning to tune in to, and feel, the quality of energy flowing through your body and being for self-healing and wellbeing. We will look at various techniques and practices which help you foster greater balance and wellbeing by improving the coherence and communication between your individual cells, your organ systems, your chakras, your heart & mind, and your body & soul.

Collective Energy Awareness for Global Wellbeing

In other classes, we will explore how we can use our practice to manifest meaningful change in our daily lives and in the world around us; how we can ‘be the change we want to see in the world’. When we learn how to take responsibility for our own energy, thoughts, feelings and actions, we can choose to foster positive change and greater coherence, both locally and globally.

Personal and Global Energy Fields

The human heart has an energy field of electromagnetic energy which has been scientifically measured extending several feet from your physical body. Studies have clearly shown that each emotion we feel is essentially expressed as energy which not only affects every single cell within our own body, but which also extends several feet from ourselves, affecting those around us. There is growing evidence that each and every individual is also contributing to the quality of energy in the global field of the Earth, and that this global energy is being continually shared with each and every one of us, in a continuous reciprocal exchange of energy and information. The global energy feeds into your personal energy, and your personal energy feeds into the collective, global field. Each person’s thoughts, emotions and attitudes are having an effect globally.

When we look at what is going on in the world, it can leave us feeling overwhelmed and disempowered. However, when we realise that everything is connected and everything has a cause and effect, we come to understand that we can and do have an effect on our environment and our community – both locally and globally.

Everything is Energy : Everything is Connected

At the very foundation of reality, everything is energy: Every thought you think, every word you speak, every emotion you feel and every action you take sends information and energy into the world around you. You are also continually absorbing information and energy from your environment, the people around you, and the media platforms you plug in to. By learning to become aware of these energies you can learn to take responsibility for the effect they have; the effect which your own energies are having on those around you, and the effect which their energy is having on you, whether from a family member, a colleague, a media channel or the global field. Rather than blindly absorbing the energy and information which surrounds you, you can choose to actively shift the quality and experience of energy, within your own being, and within the world around you.

Become A Catalyst for Positive Change

you cannot stop the injustice and suffering which you see in the world just by sitting on your meditation cushions, but by gently bringing your practice into every moment of your day, you can, in some small but potentially significant way, help to shift the quality of collective energy.

You can literally become a catalyst for positive change, within your own health and life, and in the collective experience of every living being on Earth.
